Honey Scented Black Tea

A Taiwanese black tea that's becoming increasingly popular in recent years. 

Like the name suggests, Honey Scented Black Tea has a natural honey scent with no additives. 

The natural aroma results from the bites of tea  grasshoppers. 

This fully oxidized black tea production method gives the tea a soulful, awakening flavor.


The secret to the Honey Scented Tea is the use of tea cultivars which normally produces oolong tea, with the process of black tea making. 

As a result, this hybrid black tea has a lighter, sweeter flavor. 


Cha Voyage selects Honey Scented Tea from mid-high elevation tea area Shanlinxi, Nantou.

Tea from the area are known for its natural sweet aroma. 

Qualities are further enhanced with tea masters' distinctive skills, resulting in a subtle honey aroma and a velvety-fruity flavor.

Tasting Notes: A note of honey aroma and gentle fruity after taste.

  • It is best to brew this black tea at 85°C 
  • The lower temperature reduces the astringency and brings out sweet aroma
