Cha Voyage traveled throughout the country, searching for the teas that best represent Taiwan.

Ruby Black Tea, a tea produced with a Taiwanese native species Ruby #18, developed by the Taiwan Tea Research and Extension Station (TRES).

The name “Ruby” came from its ruby stone-like tea soup color.

Due to the natural minty sweetness and light cinnamomic flavor, it is praised by black tea experts for its “Taiwan fragrance”.

This full-bodied black tea grows among Puli, Nantou,in central Taiwan.

Thanks to the unique geographical location of Nantou, teas in this area contains more catechins than the teas plant elsewhere.

As a result, black teas produced has flavorful aroma.

Other than the usual refreshing minty flavor, this carefully selected Ruby Black Tea performs an extra caramel and mature fruit flavor.

【Tea Preparation】

Ruby Black Tea has strong aroma, it is best to brew with water at a temperature of 85°C and shorten the steeping time
