Description

Cha Voyage traveled throughout the country, searching for the teas that best represent Taiwan.

Red Oolong

Red Oolong was a newly developed tea in Taitung in recent years.

Red Oolong combined both oolong and black tea making technique. It adapted the oxidation process of black tea and the making procedure of traditional oolong tea.

Its oxidation level is of the highest among all oolong teas.

Cha Voyage Red Oolong uses tea leaves which have been bitten by the tea leafhoppers, leaving a hint of honey flavor.

Tea Variety: Oolong Tea

Origin: Luyeh, Taitung, Taiwan

Tasting Notes: Mellow caramel sweetness with a hint of honey aroma

Tea Preparation

  • It is best to brew this oolong tea at 95°C -100°C, between 1-2 minutes
  • Cold brew method is also highly recommended, it highlights some hidden aroma which differs from hot brew
